Our Team

We provide therapy for individuals, children (ages 3–17), couples, and families. Our work is guided by connection and understanding, helping children through Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI®), and supporting individuals with trauma or PTSD using an attachment-focused approach and EMDR. We aim to create a safe, supportive space where clients can process experiences, build resilience, and strengthen relationships.

Meet the Team

We believe therapy is a relational process. People often feel stuck because they’re unsure how to make the changes they long for in their lives, relationships, or families. Our role is to come alongside you, as guides and encouragers, to help you gain insight, explore new options, and practice healthier ways of connecting. In therapy, we create a safe space where you can learn, make mistakes, and repair, allowing real healing to take root.

Dr. Karyn Purvis, TBRI Co-Founder

“Our children need to know they are precious, in the sunshine and in the rain.”

Dr. John Bowlby, Pioneer in Attachment Theory

"The human psyche, like human bones, is strongly inclined towards self-healing.”

As a licensed marriage and family therapist since 2009 and a practicing therapist since 2003, I aim to meet people where they are and journey with them to where they want to go. Life is hard, whether you are a parent of a struggling child, have endured childhood abuse, struggle to create healthy relationships, or need some guidance to build the life you want. I am here to be a part of your healing journey.

I help children and families who feel stuck in cycles of frustration or disconnection find their way back to calm, confidence, and closeness. In the warm, safe space I create, kids can explore and understand their emotions while parents learn tools to bring more peace into the home. Every family I work with is treated with compassion and respect, honoring their unique strengths and challenges. I work with children who struggle with anxiety and frustration, helping them build confidence and a sense of security in a big world.

I specialize in working with teens and young adults who are navigating the effects of trauma, anxiety, and depression. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I am EMDR trained and level one trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which allows me to help clients process painful experiences, understand their inner world with greater clarity, and move towards lasting change rather than symptom relief. I integrate these evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches with practical coping strategies to support both emotional healing and day-to-day functioning.
